Re: Jeftiniji modeli slicni Longinesu, IWCu, Breitlingu?
Pročitao sam da je Sinn kupio prava na dizajn krajem 70ih, kad je Brajtling bio pred bankrotom tako da ovo nije kopija već na ovaj dizajn imaju pravo obe firme  Možda je Sinn čak i kvalitetniji.
Re: Jeftiniji modeli slicni Longinesu, IWCu, Breitlingu?
nije kopija ali je breitling pravio navitimere od 1952. znaci 25 godina pre sinna. samo ne razumem jednu bitnu stvar, od koga su kupili prava na dizajn?
Re: Jeftiniji modeli slicni Longinesu, IWCu, Breitlingu?
Pa od Brajtlinga naravno....
In 1979 the original Breitling that was founded in 1892 was liquidated. The company was in difficulties due to the cheap quartz watches. Name, designs and parts all went to new owners.
BREITLING
The Breitling name was revived in 1982. Ernst Schneider buys the Breitling company name, trademarks, and certain rights but the right to manufacture the existing Cosmonaute and Navitimer models (but not the name 'Cosmonaute') passes to Helmut Sinn. Ever since they have produced new watches, some of which are in design at least close to the original and carry the Breitling Navitimer name. The Breitling company has successfully tried to move upmarket, and both the quality and price are in a different league then the originals were.
OLLECH & WAJS
The Ollech & Wajs company had the foresight to buy much of the parts that were stocked by Breitling. The entire spares inventory, uncompleted stock, machinery, and the design rights to all pre '79 stock, were sold to O & W. Up to this day they still have on offer new, unused watches build from original Breitling parts, and parts that came from the original Breitling suppliers.
Since the Venus 178 movement was no longer available, the Val 7730 and 7736 were used and are sold under the Aviation name. These watches are identical in terms of size, case, dial, hands and movements as the original Breitling's of before 1980.
These watches were designed in the 60's and 70's, and although they are new, they must be considered classic watches. In several ways, these Aviation's are more closely related to the much loved 60's/70's Navitimer's then the present day Breitlings are. Selectron is a trademark of Ollech & Wajs , it has been used for several watches and stopwatches all equipped with sliderule.
The advent of the quartz powered mechanisms drove down much of the traditional watch making industry, and O&W ceased production in the early 1980’s. By the early 1990’s, O&W began production again, this time under a new company, formed by Albert Wajs. They still use the logo and the brand name Ollech & Wajs or O&W, as these brand names are owned by Albert Wajs.
SINN
All completed stock, and the right to use the 806/809 design (not the name) was sold to Helmut Sinn, who sold off most of the branded stock to trade. Old World Jewellers in USA bought a good proportion. Sinn now manufacture the 806/809 under their own brand name, and model no 903.
In some ways you might argue that Sinn is closer to the philosophy of the original Breitling company, in the sense that they focus on technical improvements, and try to keep the price modest. Their Navitimer derivative (903) is more a tool watch, like the Navitimer was once meant to be.
Since Sinn had the rights to produce a Navitimer style watch, they needed a movement with the so called "tri-compax" lay-out. The proven Lemania 1873, was selected. In early 2000 Lemania decided to sell the 1873 movement to sister companies only. So the 903 with Lemania 1873 movement sold out in September 2001and was replaced by model with a modified automatic Valjoux 7750 movement.
